A world premiere
The Real Compañía Ópera de Cámara will give a concert version performance of an important revival of the 18th century lyrical repertoire,
Solimano. This opera was created by the Neapolitan composer of Spanish origin, David Pérez (1711–1778) and had its premiere in Lisbon in 1768. Just ten years later it was staged at the Teatro Nuevo in Cádiz which is an indication of the great cultural relevance of that city at that time. In order to tackle the high level of virtuoso complexity required for 18th century Neapolitan opera, Juan Bautista Otero has brought together an international cast of the highest order whose names are particularly closely associated with the music of the period (Staveland, Gauvin, Hellekant, Im) which is a guarantee of the excellence of this performance.
